J.K Rowling Reveals New Project After Harry Potter Book Series

After the blockbuster and bestselling hit brought by both the Harry Potter book and film series, J.K. Rowling reveals that she is working on a new book entitled ‘The Casual Vacancy’. She may not have matched the phenomenal success of the Harry Potter series, right now, she has high hopes on the first novel for adults that she targets next to launch. The title of the said next book of J.K. Rowling was announced on Thursday by Little, Brown & Co. along with a brief plot synopsis for the book itself.

The publisher also added that the said book will be published worldwide on September 27 this year 2012. The effort is going to mark Rowling’s first post-Potter effort and her saga of the boy wizard will be officially ended, however, it will still remain in the hearts of many people as it has undeniably become one of the most successful fictional series in history and led to a series of extremely popular films ever since it started on 2001.

Also, the publisher added that the new book which is expected to only have grown-up audience will be set in a seemingly idyllic English town called Pagford. If Harry Potter has Hogwarts, in this new book, we will be brought to Pagford. The new book series will open with the sudden death of a famous man whose unexpected demise shocks the twon, which is described as far more menacing than its pretty façade would indicate. The publisher described Pagford as a “town at war” and in here, everybody is fighting, may it be rich or poor, parents battling their teenagers, or wives having conflicts with their respective husbands. The book will also be “blackly comic” according to the publisher and it is looked forward to beat Harry Potter on the sales of the books and DVDs.
