The whole world is expecting the upcoming sequel of the Underworld movie franchise to make it on the top of the Box Office during the first week after it is going to be released on January 20, 2012.
Sony’s Underworld Awakening Movie is expected to take a solid 3D and IMAX enhanced bite out of the weekend box office with an opening domestic gross in the low $20 million range. The movie stars Kate Beckinsale as the vampire warriorress who escapes from prison only to find out the world already in a huge war between humans and vampires and Lycan clans. Underworld Awakening is actually the fourth installment to the famous and box office hit Underworld movie franchise. Kate Beckinsale seems to be reigning in beauty elsewhere, especially when her sheer beauty also gave co-presenter Seth Rogen some apparent difficulty at Sunday’s Golden Globes.
Other films also expected to take on the list of box office hit movies for this month includes “Red Tails”, Fox’s World War Drama film starring Cuba Gooding Jr., Terence Howard and Bryan Cranston, and Universal Studio’s “Contraband”, who already opened with a bigger-than-expected $24.3 million debut last weekend.
Another film, Disney’s 1991 family favorite “Beauty and the Beast 3D” already had a $17.7million re-release debut last weekend. But seriously, all eyes are looking forward to Underworld Awakening to hit the top spot in the Box Office Chart list.
